Why We Do What We Do
Insurance can be overwhelming, especially when the wording is filled with jargon or written in a language that is not your home tongue. Clauses can feel vague, and there are often risks you may not even realize exist until it is too late. Add to that the specific requirements hidden in policies, and it becomes clear why so many claims are declined – not because builders do not care, but because the rules are often hard to understand.
We know this firsthand. In our younger years, we learned the hard way what it feels like to miss something in the fine print. Those experiences showed us just how big the gap is between insurers and the people they cover. Our mission is to bridge that gap – through awareness, education, and practical guidance that makes insurance simpler, clearer, and fairer.

Misha
Non-Executive Director & Key Individual
Misha is the steady hand at CivilSure. Quiet but with keen-intellect, she knows construction insurance inside out and keeps Dan’s high energy anchored with practical, no-nonsense advice contractors can count on.

Accounts and HR
Roelien keeps CivilSure running smoothly. She is sharp with the books, great with people, and has a real passion for building and design – from running the accounts to designing and shaping our offices, she knows the building world inside out.

Broker
Romi is the detail hawk at CivilSure – the broker who digs into the fine print that often catches contractors off guard. Quiet but razor-sharp, she makes sure your cover stands up when the project and the pressure are at their toughest.

Siphelele has been part of CivilSure for many years, bringing consistency, diligence, and deep knowledge of insurance. Currently studying law, he has a sharp eye for contract detail and a passion for ongoing learning, making him a trusted guide for clients.

When it comes to claims, Sandra is the one you want on your side. She cuts through the red tape, and makes sure settlements are handled quickly and properly so builders can get back to work.

Personal Assistant to CEO
Dianne keeps the finer wheels turning at CivilSure. She lines up Dan’s meetings, flights, and staff check-ins with ease, always quick on her feet and known for her hearty laugh and keeping the office connected and energised.

CRM Developer & Automation Specialist
Henro is the tech wizard at CivilSure. He eats, sleeps, and breathes coding and tech – building our CRM, automating the boring stuff, and fixing everything from laptops to printers when no one else can. He is the go-to problem solver for anything tech, both hardware and software.
Gael
Designer and Brand Ambassador
Gael is the creative hand at CivilSure. She designs the look, builds the site, and makes sure the brand shines – translating Henro’s tech wizardry into something staff and clients can actually understand and enjoy.
Mariné
Admin Assistant
Marine helps our team with the paperwork, policy files, and day-to-day coordination. She is also training as a broker, so you will see more of her as she steps into a bigger client support role.

Reception & Office Anchor
Lorinda is the no-nonsense, motherly hand at CivilSure. She has been here for over 15 years, keeps the office in shape, and makes sure the whole machine runs and takes over for Mariné when needed – and honestly, it would not be CivilSure without her.
