civilsure.co.za is a static website. It sets no cookies of its own.
With your consent, it uses Google Analytics 4 to measure which pages are read and how visitors move through the site. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device for that purpose. It also collects technical details with each page view, including device type, browser and approximate location at city level, which Google works out from your internet connection rather than from your device location services. It is off until you accept it on the consent notice, and you can withdraw consent at any time under Cookie settings in the footer, after which the site does not load Google Analytics again. Cookies Google has already set stay on your device until they expire or you clear them in your browser. Google describes its handling of that data in its own privacy policy.
We advertise on Google, and Google Analytics is linked to our own Google Ads account. We use that link to measure our advertising: which of our adverts brought people to the site, and whether those visits lead to enquiries. Measurement data from your visit can therefore reach our own Google Ads account for that purpose. We have not switched on the Google Analytics features that would build advertising audiences from your visit or use it to show you adverts, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. Google also uses measurement data from this site, along with data from other sites, in a form it states is aggregated and de-identified, to produce the benchmarks and estimates it offers its Analytics customers.
CivilSure operates as a juristic representative of i-Tribe (Pty) Ltd, an authorised FSP (FSP 49912), and is the responsible party for the Google Analytics measurement described above, which means we are accountable for it under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Google carries out that measurement as our operator, on our instructions, and stores and processes the data on servers outside South Africa. Our POPIA Privacy Notice is linked under Your personal information below.
The “Chat with us” button opens Zoho SalesIQ, our live chat service. Nothing from Zoho loads on a page until you tap that button. Once you open chat, SalesIQ sets its own cookies on your device so the conversation can continue and you can be recognised if you come back, and it shows the person helping you which page you opened chat on. What you type into the chat, including any name, email address or phone number you give, is sent to Zoho and kept in our chat records. Zoho processes it as our operator, on our instructions, on servers outside South Africa, and describes its own handling of that data in its privacy policy. If you never tap the button, no chat cookies are set.
Whether you accepted or declined analytics is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, so declining sets no cookies on your device. Clearing your browser data removes the choice and the notice will ask again.
Our quote, callback and application forms are hosted by Zoho at forms.civilsure.co.za and open on that domain. WhatsApp links open the WhatsApp application or website. Those services set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, including any Google Analytics has set. Doing so does not stop this site's pages working. It may affect how the third-party forms behave.
How we handle the personal information you give us through a form or a call is set out in our POPIA Privacy Notice.
Questions about how we handle your information? Ask us. A person answers.
