Note the date and time of incident
Take images of incident & damages
Note address / street name of incident occurrences
PRO TIP: Call the number of the third party member at the scene, when it is given to you. This is to confirm it is their correct phone number.
Also ask for their identification – preferable and ID book or card. This is to confirm their Full Name

- Postal Address
Note whose fault was the incident? Are they represented by an attorney? What is the attorney’s details? We will need this info.
Step 3 Claims Department Will Partially Populate the Relevant Form
Your relevant form will be partially filled in by the claims department, these will be sent to you to further fill in.
Step 4 You Will Complete The Form
Upload it and send it back, either via Email or WhatsApp
NB: The more accurately you label images, documents, and forms, the faster we can process your claim. Clear and concise information also makes the process more efficient. When documents are mislabelled or provided in large, unstructured volumes, it significantly delays the review and outcome of the claim.
Step 5 Your Broker Will Compile the Evidence
Your broker will collect the relevant data, with your filled out form and send it to the insurer.
Step 6 The Insurer Will Acknowledge Receipt
The insurer will acknowledge receipt of the claim pack and starrt the process their side. Depending on the case, an assessor will be sent to the scene/site to further assess the situation. The timing of this visit is dependent on the availablility of the assessor.
Step 7 The Assessor Will Compile and Send a Report to the Insurer
Step 8 The Insurer Will Decide The Outcome of The Claim
Ie. Full payout, partial payment or rejection of the claim.
Step 8.1 If Successful
The payment will be loaded. Payments are paid out every Friday.
Step 8.2 If Rejected
The insurer will send a rejection letter with their findings. These include the description & date of loss. They reiterate what you are covered for. They further note how the incident occurred and that it doesn’t fall under the cover you have taken out – and therefor they will not payout.
You are then provided information of people who you can escalate the case to, should you wish to push back on the insurer’s verdict. You have a time limit in which you need to refute the rejection – this is usually 90s days.
